The salary will be paid Grade 6, £37,412 to £44,015 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance
This post will be researching the role of epithelial cell extrusion and smooth muscle in asthma.
The applicant should have extensive experience working with mice on asthma. The post-doc will be expected to be highly proficient in how to create a significant immune response in mouse airways and a working knowledge of how to follow extrusion in live ex vivo slices and quantify live movies and immune response. This post-doc will be expected to be self-directed in writing up the results of the findings, presentation, and have a good understanding of smooth muscle biophysics. This post-doc will be expected to have a PhD in Molecular Biology with a significant background in cell biology, trafficking, and stretch-activated channels.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years
This is a full-time post
